Grange accumulated 30+ years of experience in the financial community including the most recent two decades in alternative investments, focused on credit, distressed and event-driven strategies.
FLJ Capital, where Grange is CEO, is focused on distressed debt, equity, and other special situations. We are advisors to companies and executives managing change. Representative assignments include Appomattox Advisory where FLJ served as Deputy CIO as part of an operational turnaround, ZFI Capital where FLJ advises on investment strategy and deal opportunities for a $200+mm family office, and Middlemarch Partners where FLJ manages deal origination and execution.
From 2000 onward, Grange founded and led two private investment management firms. He also served as Managing Director of Investment Banking at BTIG, previously as Managing Director at GAMCO Investors where he built a distressed securities business, and earlier as a research analyst at Perry Partners. Grange spent his formative business years in Merrill Lynch’s restructuring group and at McKinsey & Co. advising Fortune 100 companies on operational turnarounds. Grange earned a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he served as a guest lecturer on event driven investing.
